Slice like a Ninja Assassin, cut like a Raizo's blade

"Slice like a Ninja Assassin, cut like a Raizo's blade"
- Vanilla Eyes

All right stop collaborate and read this, I am back with my brand new review. Killed time with this movie awhile ago and i had to say this is one of the ass kicking ninja movies I've ever seen. Finally they made a good ninja movie, considering we've been given lame ninja movies back then such as American Ninja, 3 Ninjas and Ninja Turtles.

I had fun watching this movie, action scenes and fight choreography is very awesome. I like the representation of how the ninja crawls and hides in the shadows and vanish. Lots of slicing body parts, slashing heads and splattering blood, in other words it's totally brutal. This movie is like Rambo and Punisher with swords, shurikens and chain-sickle, it's pure carnage and gory.

However I have some drawbacks over this film. Some fight scenes are too dark to see like who's who and some scenes are shaky like the chase scene. The inclusion of special forces on the plot, I want ninjas slashing more ninjas. Bloodsheds are to recognizable as CGI.

All in all, it's a great action movie. Great performances of Rain (Raizo), who trained himself martial arts for 6 months and Sho Kusogi (it's good they casted him, it's a nod to the real ninja fans).

If you're an action flick fan, or a wannabe ninja, then I suggest you go and watch this bad ass movie, but don't take your kids, let them watch Naruto instead.

Marvel'sThor summons Idris Elba

0 comments

Latest addition to the cast of Marvel's Thor is Idris Elba (RocknRolla). He will play Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard that stands on the Bifrost bridge and defends the city's gates from intruders.

Now that they casted the Warriors Three and January is fast approaching, we'll be hearing a lot of updates of this movie. I'm excited who will they announce next or who to play Balder the brave and the Enchantress. This movie gets me more excited than Iron Man 2.

Thor will begin filming in California this January for a May 20, 2011 release.

Konami Code on Facebook

0 comments

Facebook is one of the many sites that implements Konami Code. Which means one of the founders or programmers are also nostalgic gamers.

For those of you who doesn't know what the code is, Konami Code is just a cheat code on Konami video games such as Gradius, Castlevania and the "Rambo (Stallone) - Commando (Schwarzenegger) game" - Contra, which made it famous for cheating its lives from 3 to 30. Konami still uses this code to its recent released games. Though cheats is its primary function, some games uses it as an virtual easter egg like the Metal Gear series does, which gives hidden message or a joke. It's so famous that it is used by other game publishers and other web developers implemented it to gain access to their website or in Facebook's case - to have effects.

Try the Konami Code on Facebook and press the Enter key and you'll see a lens flare effects when typing or scrolling over.

The Konami Code is "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A".

Now you know the code, you can also try it here and tell us what you see. I'll give you a hint: "do it under 2 seconds and it's not an effect".

Pacquiao - Cotto Crazy Prediction

0 comments

Just a short take on tomorrow's bout, who's your bet?

Based on my senseless research, Cotto will win this bout before the game starts. Why? it's because Manny's recent commercial. We all know that he used to endorse the things he wore when playing boxing. Those were No Fear products, Cleto Reyes gloves and Burlington socks. Now that he's famous, it's no surprise that he's endorsing these products as well - Nike, Alaxan, Datu Puti vinegar, San Miguel beer, Talk n Text Network, Magnolia products and his most recent appearance, advertising Head and Shoulder shampoo. This shampoo can't stand against Cotto, because Cotto means "lice" in our place. Since Head and Shoulder could only tackle dandruff, I am pretty sure that Cotto will win this fight without a doubt. It could have been Pacquiao if he endorsed Shellguard instead. Oh well, we'll see about that tomorrow.

So you want to be a Millionaire?

0 comments

A lot of people always think that you need to be an investment whiz to make good money. Actually, being good in investment does not mean you will have a lot of money if you don't know how to save it in the first place. There have been a lot of bad stories of people losing so much money because of making wrong decisions in their investments.

In Philippines nowadays, everything is expensive. From the cost of food, clothing, bills (phones, electric, water) etc... and it will become more expensive by an average of 7% a year due to inflation. If you don't know how to save you will be financially depleted.

Think of your daily expenses and quantify it.

Let us see how much you spend unconsciously:

* Smoking/drinking alcohol/gambling...................P 50.00/day * 30 days = P 1,500.00/month
* Shopping........................................................P 500.00/week * 30 days = P 2,000.00/month
* Dining out.......................................................P 100.00/day * 30 days = P 3,000.00/month
* Drinking softdrinks/Buying Chips......................P 30.00/day * 30 days = P 900.00/month

TOTAL = P 7,400.00/month

P 7,400.00/month (cost of unnecessary expenses) multiply by 12 months (1 year) will cost you
P 88,800.00 in one year. For ten years you spent more than P 888,000.00.

Ask yourself everyday. "Is this necessary?"

The trick in having a lot of money or having little money is in small things. Save enough money to last for a lifetime.
