6 Days ago Me and my partner decided to have a dinner at the Resto Grill at Bredco. We have heard a lot of good feedback about the restaurant beside the beach..or shall I say Resto just near the Port. Anyway we arrived there at around 8:00pm after our stroll at SM mall. At first, we didn't know where the Resto Grill's exact location. Good thing that we have a ride, so it's ok if we get lost hehe :-) . So finally after a few turns we finally arrived at the Resto Grill.
The Place is nice, they have a good ambiance and really recommended for those who love seafood. Resto Grill has a similarity to the Pala-pala at the 18th St. aside from both resto serves seafood, most of the furniture used are made of bamboo. Their service is good too, but as you all know most of the resto's has its peak hours. So around 6pm-8pm people are busy coming in and out of the Resto Grill and If you want to have a better post, better be early. But if you are not yet that hungry you can go there even at 9pm, as the waiter said they take their last order at 10pm and they close at 11pm.
here take a sneak peak of the place..and Us..

Posted by Merely Anything at 6:39 AM 0 comments
It's about time!
The first trailer for the highly anticipated film - Iron Man 2 hits the net and it's ****ingly amazing. We knew that this was coming. After all, we've been teased by posters, on-set pictures and international teasers. Marvel Characters such as War Machine, Black Widow, Nick Fury and Whiplash were revealed in the trailer. The trailer clearly expressed what to expect about the movie. I can see that Terrence Howard is weeping right after seeing this trailer, he has no absolute idea how cool his character will be in Iron Man 2.
Check out the bad-ass trailer now!

Slice like a Ninja Assassin, cut like a Raizo's blade
Posted by Merely Anything at 11:51 PM 0 comments"Slice like a Ninja Assassin, cut like a Raizo's blade"
- Vanilla Eyes
All right stop collaborate and read this, I am back with my brand new review. Killed time with this movie awhile ago and i had to say this is one of the ass kicking ninja movies I've ever seen. Finally they made a good ninja movie, considering we've been given lame ninja movies back then such as American Ninja, 3 Ninjas and Ninja Turtles.
I had fun watching this movie, action scenes and fight choreography is very awesome. I like the representation of how the ninja crawls and hides in the shadows and vanish. Lots of slicing body parts, slashing heads and splattering blood, in other words it's totally brutal. This movie is like Rambo and Punisher with swords, shurikens and chain-sickle, it's pure carnage and gory.
However I have some drawbacks over this film. Some fight scenes are too dark to see like who's who and some scenes are shaky like the chase scene. The inclusion of special forces on the plot, I want ninjas slashing more ninjas. Bloodsheds are to recognizable as CGI.
All in all, it's a great action movie. Great performances of Rain (Raizo), who trained himself martial arts for 6 months and Sho Kusogi (it's good they casted him, it's a nod to the real ninja fans).
If you're an action flick fan, or a wannabe ninja, then I suggest you go and watch this bad ass movie, but don't take your kids, let them watch Naruto instead.

Marvel'sThor summons Idris Elba
Posted by Merely Anything at 2:37 PM 0 commentsLatest addition to the cast of Marvel's Thor is Idris Elba (RocknRolla). He will play Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard that stands on the Bifrost bridge and defends the city's gates from intruders.
Now that they casted the Warriors Three and January is fast approaching, we'll be hearing a lot of updates of this movie. I'm excited who will they announce next or who to play Balder the brave and the Enchantress. This movie gets me more excited than Iron Man 2.
Thor will begin filming in California this January for a May 20, 2011 release.

Konami Code on Facebook
Posted by Merely Anything at 9:18 PM 0 commentsFacebook is one of the many sites that implements Konami Code. Which means one of the founders or programmers are also nostalgic gamers.
For those of you who doesn't know what the code is, Konami Code is just a cheat code on Konami video games such as Gradius, Castlevania and the "Rambo (Stallone) - Commando (Schwarzenegger) game" - Contra, which made it famous for cheating its lives from 3 to 30. Konami still uses this code to its recent released games. Though cheats is its primary function, some games uses it as an virtual easter egg like the Metal Gear series does, which gives hidden message or a joke. It's so famous that it is used by other game publishers and other web developers implemented it to gain access to their website or in Facebook's case - to have effects.
Try the Konami Code on Facebook and press the Enter key and you'll see a lens flare effects when typing or scrolling over.
The Konami Code is "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A".
Now you know the code, you can also try it here and tell us what you see. I'll give you a hint: "do it under 2 seconds and it's not an effect".

Pacquiao - Cotto Crazy Prediction
Posted by Merely Anything at 2:03 PM 0 commentsJust a short take on tomorrow's bout, who's your bet?
Based on my senseless research, Cotto will win this bout before the game starts. Why? it's because Manny's recent commercial. We all know that he used to endorse the things he wore when playing boxing. Those were No Fear products, Cleto Reyes gloves and Burlington socks. Now that he's famous, it's no surprise that he's endorsing these products as well - Nike, Alaxan, Datu Puti vinegar, San Miguel beer, Talk n Text Network, Magnolia products and his most recent appearance, advertising Head and Shoulder shampoo. This shampoo can't stand against Cotto, because Cotto means "lice" in our place. Since Head and Shoulder could only tackle dandruff, I am pretty sure that Cotto will win this fight without a doubt. It could have been Pacquiao if he endorsed Shellguard instead. Oh well, we'll see about that tomorrow.

So you want to be a Millionaire?
Posted by Merely Anything at 8:35 PM 0 commentsA lot of people always think that you need to be an investment whiz to make good money. Actually, being good in investment does not mean you will have a lot of money if you don't know how to save it in the first place. There have been a lot of bad stories of people losing so much money because of making wrong decisions in their investments.
In Philippines nowadays, everything is expensive. From the cost of food, clothing, bills (phones, electric, water) etc... and it will become more expensive by an average of 7% a year due to inflation. If you don't know how to save you will be financially depleted.
Think of your daily expenses and quantify it.
Let us see how much you spend unconsciously:
* Smoking/drinking alcohol/gambling...................P 50.00/day * 30 days = P 1,500.00/month
* Shopping........................................................P 500.00/week * 30 days = P 2,000.00/month
* Dining out.......................................................P 100.00/day * 30 days = P 3,000.00/month
* Drinking softdrinks/Buying Chips......................P 30.00/day * 30 days = P 900.00/month
TOTAL = P 7,400.00/month
P 7,400.00/month (cost of unnecessary expenses) multiply by 12 months (1 year) will cost you
P 88,800.00 in one year. For ten years you spent more than P 888,000.00.
Ask yourself everyday. "Is this necessary?"
The trick in having a lot of money or having little money is in small things. Save enough money to last for a lifetime.

Pinoy Big Brother Philippines Double UP Update November 09, 2009
Posted by Merely Anything at 10:39 PM 0 commentsJust this morning..Big Brother a.k.a. Kuya send in Mommy Dionesia to House B to be their Fitness expert..for sure Mommy Dionesia taught them some boxing exercises that she learned from her son Manny Pacquiao. and Later in the afternoon it was Ms. Ai Ai delas Alas turn to get inside the House A and taught them some exercises. Kuya send in the two stars of "Ang Tanging Pamilya" to help the housemates exercise and warm up for their Big Battle.
Housemates Big battle
Big Brother tasked the two houses to create a raft made of plastic bottles which they will use on their challenge. House A made a more sturdy plastic bottled raft compared to House B.
Game Mechanics:
1. An individual from House A will be paired with an individual from House B
2. The housemate should be on top of the raft that they have assembled. Raft is placed inside their pool.
3. Each housemate will be holding a foamed barbel in which they will use to push their opponent out of the raft.
4. First housemate to successfully push their opponent out of the raft will gain points.
since House B's raft is not stable they lost the challenge..and House A wins!!..yehey!!!!.. I like House A more than House B.. housemates in House A are funny hehehe..
...its RICA's birthday! Rica's housemates prepared some surprises for Rica. She danced with Paul jake, Tibo and Jason giving her a stemmed rose. Melai and Carol gave a speech and as a cake topping they had Johan as a macho dancer wearing a Piolo Pascual Mask. And an added surprise, Cathy a housemate exchange that was sent to Finland entered the House B with a cake for Rica..Everybody was really surprised. Rica had fun she was happy and she said that it is her first time to receive a flower.
Save your favorite housemate by voting..if you don't want them out yet. :D
watch out for our next update..

New "Moon" movie is great
Posted by Merely Anything at 7:18 PM 0 comments
Warning: Spoilers ahead but if you want to kill time, then go ahead.
Another great movie from a low budget film. Moon is a sci-fi thriller movie about an isolated astronaut on the far side of the moon who has encountered personal problems.
It starts off with science found a way how to mine rocks of the moon to use it as energy here on Earth. Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is the only one who inhabits the moon. He is accompanied by a robot named Gerty (voiced by Kevin Spacey), he is maintaining a lunar facility and some automated machines that harvesting Helium 3, then the harvested energy is sent back to Earth.
Sam's isolation for three years is about to end and he longs to return back to Earth to see his wife and daughter. Then an accident happened while he checked one of the harvesters, and this is where the story really starts. What happens next is for you to find out because I'm telling you no more. I don't want to spoil it anymore for you otherwise you will not watch this movie. I suggest you go watch the trailer to give you an idea for yourself.
Moon is a one man show, I could say that Sam's performance is completely mesmerizing because he's the only actor in the movie. Overall Moon has a plausible story, it'll keep you entertained as mysteries unfold. If you're a sci-fi genre movie fan, you'll definitely like this. Now go and spend some killing quality time by watching this movie.
